Production Years: 1981 to 1982
Built in 1981 to commemorate the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. The machine could be bought brand new from dealers for around £1,900 by October 1982.
There were 125 US models made and also 125 UK models built. The 'LE' stood for Limited Edition and each bike came with an owners certificate. There were differences between the UK and US models - the UK models had Morris alloy wheels and twin front brake discs. The US version also only had a 2 gallon tank.
There were other 'Royal' Bonnevilles exported to America to a different specification, but the 1981 date was left off them.
