This version of the Bonneville T120 was first introduced as an export version for the American market, also called the Bonneville Speedmaster by the US dealers. It had higher-rise handlebars and a smaller fuel tank. There was a T120R that was produced in 1961, but that was the older pre-unit model. By 1971 the model featured the new Oil in Frame design.
